From Portal 2 ARG Wiki - Valve ARG Network
At approximately 11:20 AM PST on April 13th, several well-known players began to exhibit strange behaviour. Notably a news item was posted to the front page of the wiki stating "There's a hole in the sky... through which I can fly.". Various wiki editors removed the message only to see it reinserted by wiki admins, IRC ops or well known players. Finally, after a brief edit war, the final message read "Stop worrying about them. They are okay. They are still people. Who are okay. They are busy doing safe things that are supervised by a responsible safety associate. Everything is fine here."
At the same time, User pages on the wiki were changed, and Steam profiles were changed to show a new PO TA T O banner
The image in the orange portal is clearly from the middle image on this page of Valve's website: http://www.valvesoftware.com/company/

There's a hole in the sky... through which I can fly.
Many valuable contributors unexpectedly disconnected from the IRC server around 10:56 AM PST all uttering the same message and have had various social network updates that read like:
I am okay. I am still a person. Who is okay. I am busy doing safe things that are supervised by a responsible safety associate.

The phrase these players are using, "There's a hole in the sky... through which I can fly", is very similar to Aperture Science's motto from the teaser trailer to Portal 1. http://bit.ly/edsyNl
The motto is a reference to the Portal gun portals as "holes", and is likely the same reference here.
Some of the people that have been changed have been responding to Steam messages.
A player named -testsubject3791-, CONSOLE, and -testsubject53- acted as a computer console in chats on two occasions. 1 2. The console eventually locked them out after they had investigated a bit, but they were able to get it to upload the three [Data Packets]. However, they also discovered a warning not to open the /hyperborea directory, which they had already opened to get the third data packet.
16:49 - CONSOLE: ---I don't know if this got out in time, but... Anyone who is in my account, do not open /hyperborea directory. It's not what you think it is. It uploads something to the mainframe and starts infecting most programs. No idea how it works, but it does.
According to Dougley, each person who is taken is assigned a job. After they have fulfilled their job, they are killed, and Dougley want us to get the recently take to rebel.
A user has joined the wiki and placed this note on his user page. There's suspicious snippets all over the place:
Do NOT disregard this transmission. It may save your ---- well ---- I'm really not at liberty to say what it might save. For now, let's just say that it may keep you alive.
Do you think SHE would simply hand you 'clues' which would guide you to the truth? No. SHE is much more beguiling that that. You must look elsewhere.
You have no proof that SHE whom we both fight against has infiltrated the long term memory banks you call a 'wiki' All you have are 2 or 3 scribbled scratchings of a demented mind copied from the pages of a graphic novel. Has SHE really been at work inside your 'wiki'? From my own investigations, I think not. What is more likely is that while SHE was detaining one of the test subjects, he went mad with fear and created a form of digital graffiti on the front of your 'wiki' - after all, since those initial message, have you seen ANY additional scribbled messages that would indicate SHE is working inside your 'wiki' Let logic lead you to the light.
5) Old entertainment packages which have not been updated
Again, why would old entertainment packages hold new clews without a new update to put the clews there? Use the grey matter given to you at your birth (you humans do have some left, don't you?) and think logically. I know it is difficult for those of you who are still saddled with the baggage of human emotion to fight against said emotions when on the verge of some 'discovery' but you must always yield to logic and reason. Or you will not stay alive.
Of special note in this quote: (...)you must always yield to logic and reason. Or you will not stay alive.
WHAT YOU MUST DO TO STAY ALIVE:
You must Focus and Think and most importantly, STAY FOCUSED.
You MUST attend diligently to the entertainment package of vegetables to follow the light, and use the eyes therein to see. For that is where the best clews have always been, and who is to say that will change anytime soon? Certainly not me.
In parting, trust no one, but listen to all.
I cannot say more. All will become clear in the course of --- time.
The first and last quotes appear to be taken from G-Man's speech at the end of Half-Life 2.
On April 17th Jetuser and Doug fight over the wiki news.
11:22 - Dougley adds to the news:
"99:99: Listen to my message. The others will die if you cannot make them rebel. Please help them. Nothing is fine."
11:28 - Jetuser changes it to:
"99:99: Everything Is Fine."
11:39 - Dougley reverts one edit, the news page now shows:
"99:99: We must get the newly converted to rebel against GLaDOS before they die." (which has been said by Techh10 at 11:36, so it seems to be just spam)
11:43 - Dougley changes the news to:
"??:??: Continue testing." (so the last revert from 11:39 was just accidently by Dougley)
